I spent a lot of quality army training time in the swamps in northern Florida. Sometimes it was so dark we had to hold onto each other as we moved.

Jungle warfare training center in Okinawa for me. No swamps, just dense jungle. Pitch black at night. Saw a lot of big banana spiders sitting in their webs, but not much else. I assume past training exercises in the area tended to scare away most wildlife.

There is speculation that megalodon still exist, an orca would be a snack and a mere piker by comparasin.

Science and paleontology says they went extinct 20 million years ago, but they said the same thing about another fish (the bony armored one) The name escapes me at the moment.

I had a banana spider stuck to my face with his legs wrapped on my head. His body and mouth were right in the center over my eyes. I didn't get bit at least.
