    The "Deep State."

Suddenly everywhere I am hearing this pathetic excuse of "the deep state." You see, "big government" was a very unpopular thing with libertarians...until their candidates gained control. Now suddenly, everything that is wrong with the government is attributable to "the deep state" , which insinuates that there is some sort of liberal (a word which literally means "free" ) stubborn element that is so interwoven, it has "infected" the government. See, this will be their argument for the next two years, until the democrats win back the house and senate--and then everything will be the democrats fault for "obstructing" Trump's agenda (just like the republicans did for the last half of Obama's presidency.)

There is no shortage of hypocrisy or ridiculousness with these right wing incompetent f@cks.

Hannity will school them all about the "deep state" and they will echo it like good little sheep.

    Peter1469 already has.

"Deep State" is a laughable conspiracy theory, but I don't think it's the libertarians we have to thank for this one.

Deep state is just a term for the bureaucratic state, the unelected, fairly permanent part of the administration. Sometimes it's extended to higher ups in finance and industry.

You see, "big government" was a very unpopular thing with libertarians...until their candidates gained control.

    I think we're dealing with alt-universe.

No it isn't, it's an attempt to create a new boogeyman to frighten conservative adultchildren.

98% of your responses are no it isn't. No it isn't isn't an argument. Ignored.

Chris I actually don't give 2 $#@!s what you think, but that was a response and an argument. If you can't figure it out that's your problem.

"Deep State", as it is currently being used, is simply Trump supporters' shorthand for anyone, regardless of Party affiliation or context, who offers opposition to or criticism of any Trump view, action or policy. Like so many other labels, it is simply an intellectually lazy alternative to refuting an unwelcome opinion or defending one's own.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.” - Robert E. Howard

Trump et al have focused on the intelligence component of the bureaucratic state, but it still just means the bureaucratic army under the administration.

I don't see any arguments here.
