Also, I propose a way to be "invisible" from certain members, so that they don't have the ability to torment members who do not wish to associate with them.

The ignore button simply isn't enough, when they respond to everything you do, attack you for everything you say, and follow you everywhere in the forum.

Well, like I said before in another thread, it's high time we conservatives and liberals started talking to each other. We've done the division thing long enough. I don't want to miss out on a friendship, no matter how different we may be.

That's just a damn stupid way to live. Life is too short to hate people you may not agree with completely.

I'm 50, I don't want the rest of my life spent pushing folks away. I'd rather have friends I can argue with.

Like I said, I have a really good friend who is very liberal, we talk politics and religion frequently. People take this stuff way to personally and divisively. Somewhere between the extremes, in the middle, balance is found. This is true in politics and the physics of the everyday universe.

I agree. I gave up on this site about a year ago and came back. It's been nice to find a person like you, who is open to discussion. It is very rare, and I'm glad I shut my ego down and gave you a chance and vice versa. We may rarely agree, but you have so much to offer outside the political BS. I could have very easily just said $#@! it and put you on ignore.

But I find you have very legit things to say. And your concerns are valid and reasonable. You're not just the "liberals suck!" kind of person. But you also do not think conservatives are perfect either.

That is what makes you cool. It's not about taking sides with you or me. Let's just find what works. I think we are both on the same page when it comes to that. And that is how it should be with anyone.

It has been a genuine pleasure to meet you. May we spar more in the future.

Thank you, I am also well into my cups at this hour, I would like to see a TPF BBQ, I suspect some of us may instantly want to fight, but if we were held in cages in close proximity for a couple days, I bet that would change if the doors opened
