To be sure, the author likely did not see the interview either. It's his or her job to smear O'Reilly. Accuracy isn't important.

You don't get to vote for the party that supported, and legislated government forced vaginal probes, and then claim to oppose Obama because he represents "increased government control, and power".

No doubt some feel as you do but that does not mean O'Reilly is wrong. Americans do feel increasingly entitled to government services. Again, when I was a kid (1980s) the BO healthcare initiative would never have gotten off the ground. As for social conservatism, if you based your vote on the patent nonsense that Romney would ban abortion or because of gay marriage I can only say that's just crazy. Abortion and gays? Really? We stand on the brink of disaster and the potential for two $#@!s to marry determined your vote?

Ironically, the OP was fiction. And I'm not a Republican.

“Hurricane Sandy was prominent in the exit polling,” O’Reilly explained. “The country was so locked in on this fierce storm — I mean, Americans like storms — and there was Chris Christie and President Obama walking down the beach, you know, ‘Seth in the Moon Glow’ music behind them. And it just wiped [Mitt Romney's] campaign off the map.”

“It’s the picture in America that dominates, not the bloviating,” he continued. “The picture was, here’s the president in his president jacket, here’s Christie and they’re arm in arm. That means the president is doing something good. … That image of Hurricane Sandy overrode the Libyan story. President Obama got more positive currency out of Sandy then negative currency out of Libya. That’s what I find amazing.”

Snake Oil salesmen did quite well a hundred and fifty years ago. It looks like we now have another one that managed to horn-swaggle a slew of people. He did very well by diverting attention from his less than crappy record. Oh there was change in his last term, it was just a real $#@!ty change. I expect this one to be even worse than the last. If the poor people expect to be helped, they can expect this...to remain on the public dole.
