    Dock Diving

I have been taking Katie the Boxer to dock diving lessons for about a month and although she's catching on, I don't know if she'll ever be able to compete since her attention span is a nanosecond if strange dogs are around, lol. I went to an Air Retrieve and Dock Diving competition this morning and really enjoyed it. 40 dogs competed and I shot a few photos while I was there. Attachment 18646Trying to get my dog to jump from this one, he wont! Matter a fact, neither will I any longer! I have jumped 8 times but I don't think I will do it anymore. Count my blessings and hedge my bets, I aint getting younger.

Bet it takes lots of training to get a dog to do that!

I must say it's hotter than hell outside right now and if I saw water I would jump in further than them there dogs and wouldn't need a toy bone to entice me. My cat would just watch.

(San Marcos is just up the road from San Antonio.)

Lol, I'm right there in the pool with Katie during the hour long lesson. I've made up my mind that we're getting a pool this Fall. I am done with this heat!

Yes, SM is about 30 minutes NE of San Antonio and almost the same distance to Austin.

Might be cheaper to move near a river, lake or sea!

Some purebreeds are impossible to train unless you are a trainer, like most terriers. Some of which are brutal to try and train.

True. Another issue is if the breed isn't prone to like water and /or swim. Boxers are one example, and our trainer has remarked that Katie is the first Boxer she has worked with that has liked the water/swimming. She's having a good time and I get to play in the water too. Win-win.
