Somehow I guessed that. But the OP asks why people like you, being poor, vote Republican.

What stimulates these self-destructive urges? Be concise.

    I don't vote Republican.

Let's uncoil your loaded question: What is self-destructive about voting Rep as opposed to Dem? Be concise.

Being poor, you would vote against your own best interests.

How is that a sane thing to do?

What does that mean? I assume you mean government welfare programs.

Earlier I posted an article stating that entitlement spending in the US topped $1T in 2011. That does not include Social Security, medicare, and Medicaid. That creates a larger problem for the poor. When we crash the USD, who is going to take care of them?

Singling out a group that already pays most of the taxes is class warfare and should be rejected on that basis.

Class warfare is the very blood and guts of a dynamic society . All you have to work out is which bunch of selfish greedy $#@!s you wish to follow .
The blue bloods are always better educated , have a great sense of humour and know how to party . Bit of a no brainer .

This is a metaphor. Study it carefully.

Notice, for example, that the animal in the red coat is about ride into a tree; and has been shot in the head, but not so that he seems to notice, by one of his hunting companions.
