    Lest we forget

Obama is back in the driving seat. And Romney is not even a passenger.

That's something to be grateful for.

    But this is not:

[Lest we forget: NDAA, drones, PATRIOT Act renewal/expansion, insurance cartel giveaway aka 'health care' reform, Guantanamo Bay still open (tribunals underway), forgiveness of Bush-era war criminals (heck, even some brand new war crimes), surrender to GOP on debt ceiling (and everything else), Afghanistan until 2014, contractors in Iraq, etc.]
Add to that forgiveness that corporate money has bought for financial market corporate criminals and the glow around Obama fades pretty quickly.
Come sit down beside me I said to myself
And although it doesn't make sense
I held my own hand as a small sign of trust
And together I sat on the fence

Lest we forget you're a New Zealander who means nothing to U.S. Politics, but keep talking out that hole in your ass.

So you're grateful and disappointed seeing the cracks in the Obama's armor. You're catching on.

How about the trade pact (TPP) he wants that will allow US corporates to override our sovereignty.

    If we let them.

How about his efforts to tie us to your future wars?

I see the US is making more strenuous efforts to get Australia to back its wars.

Clinton and Panetta descended en whatever masse they have to charm and cajole the Ockers into letting their soldiers die in American wars instead of Americans.

Not sure what the Aussies get out of this except, perhaps, to bask in the malign glow of their masters.

Which makes it all a bit tricky when America's next war will be a (probably proxy) war against China. Which is Australia's biggest trading partner.

    Tightrope, anyone?

The US has no reason to go to war with China. China cannot harm America (without nukes).
