Trump, who was invited by May to come to England for a state visit just days after he was inaugurated in January, indicated that he wouldn’t go because of unfavorable coverage in the media, The Sun reported, citing a transcript of a telephone call between the two leaders.

“I haven’t had great coverage out there lately, Theresa,” he told May, according to the newspaper.
“Well, you know what the British press are like,” she replied.
“I still want to come, but I’m in no rush,” Trump said. “So, if you can fix it for me, it would make things a lot easier.”
“When I know I’m going to get a better reception, I’ll come and not before,” he said during the call.

Why would Trump schedule a trip to the UK?
Violent protests from malcontent political activists would be a near certainty. The British government doesn't need that to deal with. And the visit itself would be nothing more than symbolic. Would have been a rather dim move if Trump had decided to make the trip.
In this case the real snowflakes would be the ones making the sophomoric taunts. Calling him a "coward".
