I suppose that will become the 'k' word? What in hell is wrong with the truth? His father is Kenyan and quite frankly his grandmother said he was born in Kenya. Now that's not ME saying that, it's his OWN grandmother on his father's side. He wrote a book about the 'dreams' of his father and the family was from Kenya. I really don't know how we are going to get around this other than it becomes illegal to mention it.

The problem is with the intention behind using the word. You call African-Americans by that name but you wouldn't say "the African" unless you want to be punched in the mouth. Why do it to Obama? It's all about intent. "The Kenyan" this and "the Kenyan" that because you want to perpetuate a belief/myth that Obama is not American.

You're right - I don't. I am mostly speaking generally. I find the names being used to be childish majority of the time but I am a proper names kind of person, (one of my many eccentricities).
