My friend almost lost his wedding ring tonight

Good lord that was scary, because we were drinking at my house. We finally found it in a bag of ice that we were smacking on the floor to break up. Losing a wedding ring with your best friend while drinking is never good.

Whew! His husband would have killed him. That freaked us out bad.

At that moment, I kind of realized that us gay and straight people aren't that different. I could not even imagine saying to his husband, "Ok, we got college drunk, totally disregarded your life long commitment and lost the wedding ring."

Who else has a scary wedding ring story? (gay or straight)

    Glad it turned out OK.
    I'm prancing like a pony.

Why is this a rant? Sounds reasonable to me. Glad it all worked out though... I could only imagine if I was having a drink with an old friend who happened to be gay and lost my ring... Nothing actually. My wife and I have trust and faith in each other but I know it is not like that for every couple.

Is he that worried? If he is then perhaps there is some sort of issue in the relationship? Lack of trust? Or perhaps you are just glad it was found and nothing will get put off on you.

No matter, glad it worked out.

Lol, I could tell you about my marriage, but I think that's too scary for a family friendly forum.

I'm a worry stone guy, I always have to be $#@!ing around with something in my hand like a pen or whatever.

I take my ring off all the time, piss around with it. Spin it on the table, roll it between my fingers, stuff like that. Annoyed her at first but she's gotten over it.

Can't tell you how many times I fumbled that thing and went looking for it.

Sadly no. I had to let her go. Wasn't easy but had to be done.
