I don't think you can speak for all voters or all Americans.. but I notice how frequently many attempt to do so.

You still haven't answered my question so I'll answer it for you. The voters spoke in the exit polls and elsewhere and said this isn't important to them. I agree it is important but you are projecting what might be important to informed people on the vast mass of ignoramuses that the U.S. electorate have become, particularly that "new demographic" that is now in charge.
