Have You Gotten the Flu in Summer?

I have it right now, really bad. I got up this morning and passed out on the floor while trying to sit down for breakfast. Got a fever, the chills, and considerable dizziness (the latter of which I can manage only when seated). Never had the flu in the summertime before. Have you?

Polly, lay people lump a lot of different conditions into a generic term we call the "flu". But the culprit is often not the real flu. No I have never had the flu in the summer and I think you should call your doctor or better yet go to an urgent care. Apparently with someone else driving. Don't take passing out lightly. Just my two cents.

Yeah maybe you're right, but this is exactly how it was the last time I was diagnosed with a case of the flu, so that's the basis for my assumption.

It doesn't matter which it is. You are intelligent it may well be the flu. The real point is to call a "medicine man or woman" before it gets worse.

I think I caught the flu. Dad fell, again--he's in 90s--and spent time in hospital with him and Mom and probably caught something there. I hate hospitals.

Could it be untreated TDS? JK, I would follow Donttread's advice.

I'm not a fan of hospitals either. Sure, the nurses here are great, but I want out again.
