I like mushrooms a lot and buy them every week. As a matter of fact, I like them so much I don't put anything on them. When they look fresh and clean, I just wash them and eat them raw. No salt or anything. Once in a while I cook them by adding them to a pan of steamed vegetables.

I prefer Scottish breakfast- haggis and eggs plus hot sauce = heaven.

The UK only got good food in the last two decades. They are coming along. And if you are in London on a budget go to the ethnic restaurants. Good good for very cheap. The wanna-be foodies are good, but over priced.

If you accidentally eat too much you'll be in for an uncomfortable time.

I do not eat mushrooms. I ask for them to be left off my pizza.

After doing more research, I think I might quit eating mushrooms altogether. In the past year I read some very positive things about mushrooms but also some negative things; and the net result is that I chose to think of them as mostly healthful. But now, based on research I just completed today, I'm having second thoughts. Mushrooms contain a carcinogenic toxin called Agaritine. A lot of this toxin can be destroyed by cooking, but not all of it. And according to information I got online today, there is no "safe" level.
