If I were black/hispanic/gay/lesbian/asian/woman I would be so offended by this comment.
I wouldn't want to be seen as someone special, I'd want to be seen as a politician.

I would be outraged, but that's just me. Maybe people of other races like to be grouped by the color of their skin or by their gender?

Doubt it, but how would I know? Nanci Pelosi obviously knows.

So then don't worry about what Congress etc looks like. Why is Nancy so concerned with what Congress looks like?

Cigar, if you needed a board to run your company would you be more concerned that the boards look like America or that the members know what the $#@! they're doing?

Cigar highlights a woman who said she didn't care if no one wanted Obamacare, she would have still passed it as someone qualified to speak on Democracy?

Of course, for liberals, a Card Check Act doing away with secret ballots on union elections is "democracy". And, for liberals, Castro and Cuba are the dream of liberal democracy.

Thank you so much. Hasn't Nancy Pelosi heard the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.?

OH she's heard them, just doesn't understand them.

The left is much like the significant other accusing their partner of cheating when they're just covering up there own infidelities.

Do you really think that all of the women and minority candidates that won only did so based on their gender or racial background?

As for the Islamic Extremist... never will that happen. You might one day have a Muslim president (probably very, very far down the line) but that doesn't equate to Islamic Extremism. Most Muslims who immigrate to the United States or Canada are doing so because they like what we stand for and they want the same freedoms and opportunities as us. Majority of the Muslims I know are very Liberal religiously compared to where they came from, even though they observe their religion closely. In fact, I work with a woman whose father moved her and her 4 sisters to Canada because he was scared of the futures they would have (or not have) if they stayed in Saudi Arabia.

I suppose it would make sense if you wanted a board of directors that it should "look like America". A percentage of convicted felons--like some congressmen--and even more unindicted felons--like even more in Congress. A little over half women. Thirty percent or so high school dropouts. Twenty percent functionally illiterate and half who can't do basic math. How about 80% who can't find their state on a map of the U.S. without the state names clearly displayed.

I think there needs to be readjustment, though. Far too many congressmen are mentally ill so they're over represented and the number of dead voters are not being fairly represented by dead congressmen.
