To answer the initial question, no, not IMO. The new demographic simply doesn't embrace the traditional American values and a very large part of it, if not most of it, is made up of check getters not check writers. The new demographic doesn't understand or appreciate capitalism though it is where the residual and rapid waning prosperity that supports them came from. It actually thinks that government creates wealth and gives things for free.

There is a conservative America but if there were to be a conservative country, it would have to shed the area where the new demographic dominates. That isn't going to happen peaceably and it won't happen without great upheaval, if at all.

Most of our representatives of the new demographic here are amazingly ignorant of history, political or economic. They really don't grasp that they are living in a society that is in very fundamental moral and economic decline. They don't understand that the people they vote for are only interested in power and control and are hastening that decline. In a general sort of way, we are seeing Atlas Shrugged reenacted in America.

So, no, the "united" (ha!) states is not united, is not going to be united and is not going to succeed under the new religion of diversity. Like it or not, blacks, hispanics and women are not the primary wealth creators who have provided jobs for the new demographic. Old, hated white males are. We are dying out and wising up. Very interesting to hear from a friend whose buddy is a small business accountant who is phasing out his business because his clients are dropping like flies, either voluntarily or involuntarily because government has simply made it not cost effective to stay in business. And I don't mean just the Federal government either.

No doubt, the village idiots here will post their one liners and cartoons, simply demonstrating they do not understand where what they are living off of comes from and how that is drying up like a dying lake. I am not making this statement out of sour grapes, just an appreciation for history, which I am well studied in, and experience, which I have a lot of. The new demographic is a mega trend and it is one that has doomed the old, prosperous and free America. Everyone had better get used to it and those of you who aren't living in a fantasy land like our liberals here, take steps to prepare for the consequences of the new demographic.

Remember, that in the fall of Rome, the smart took steps to take care of themselves and their families and be well out of harms way when the barbarians marched in. Actually, and this is one of the funny things about all that, the barbarians improved governance in Rome.
