Lol, I can relate. But I don't know jack about working on anything over a 1979 model. Since meeting and marrying Marc, I have learned so much about restoration and the money involved. The good thing is that some of the vehicles he restores are those I worked on as a young woman. We have a 1977 Ford F250 in the shop right now for restoration. It's not too valuable right now, but the owner drove it in high school and his dream is to have it restored.
When the guys chat about the engine, drive train, transmission, etc., I can relate.
Computers in vehicles are nice, until they're not.
Re bolded: My 1996 F350 Powerstroke (avatar) is pretty simple to work on.

“Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured…but not everyone must prove they are a citizen. And now, any of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will receive free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens.”

Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

One man, brief in space, must spread his opposition
across a period of many years if he is
to have a chance of succeeding"
