Don't you get notifications when someone replies to you?

You can get quote notifications. Go to Settings, General Settings, Quote Notifications.

I think you can also go to the top of the page and under Thread Tools select Subscribe to the thread.

You can have one PM'ed to you. That's the way I went, I get enough spam.

No.

In one other political forum I frequent (PoliticalForum.com), I do get e-mail notices--not just of replies to me, but replies to a "watched thread"--but even that is not automatic; one has to sign up for it.
