How will the Tea Party continue to brew its particular cuppa?

My suggestion would be that they all get together and chuck themselves into Boston Harbour before their GOP colleagues do it for them.

They are now an embarrassment. Paul Ryan was an embarrassment. They achieved nothing apart from deadlocking the US government for a short time and waving eminently witless placards before the ever needy cameras of the media.

Come 2014, their congress people will be looking for new jobs.

With little hope of finding one.

That's a bold prediction. It might seem counter intuitive after the results of the last election, but I think it's important that the Democrats in 2012 were able to transfer some of the excitement for the reelection of President Obama to the candidates in the Senate, where Democrats did modestly better than expected.

After two more years though, I wouldn't doubt that Americans will be ticked off again.

The Tea Party is now irrelevant. The Dems will deal with the fiscal cliff along with moderate Republicans. Your economy will continue to grow under the judicial stewardship of Obama.

    Boston Harbour beckons the extremists.

I disagree. The Tea Party has endured in state politics and will make itself known again soon. I personally thought Wisconsin would always be a blue state. It had always been that way and most people I'd known growing up we're Democrats. But when the Tea Party movement shook things up, things changed dramatically in Wisconsin. Yes, in 2012 it still went for Obama, but I think if we had a real small government candidate against Obama, we might have seen different energy, maybe even different results.

    Ryan was a ghastly error
However clever etc Republicans think he is , his image is bad . A middle class hustler , far too sharp for the average man and woman on the street .
Mutt the Misfit we all know about . Some later than others !!
The team were a disaster .

The problem with the OP is it adopts the same strange attitude the liberal professors and media do, namely, that the tea parties are somehow related to the Republican Party when it was Republicans the tea parties went after. I do understand the fear driving Democrats to continue to demonize the tea parties though, Democrats were next in line.

    Not much.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.
