Hardly. At its very best, ObamaCare was never--never!--a basically good thing, with just a few minor flaws.

It would be far closer to the truth, I believe, to describe it as a basically terrible thing--far worse than the status quo ante--with a few good points.

Those who believe that it was an improvement over American healthcare prior to 2010 are those who consider government-supplied healthcare to be a fundamental right...

Obamacare belongs to those that created the POS.

Listen Crepitus, I dont think anyone would mind paying for obamacare for someone in your position with your son having an ongoing condition. No one would mind paying for any american who is truly indigent.

But all americans have a problem with paying for drug dealers and other nefarious scumbags that never worked a day in their lives because they dont want too. Not only paying for them but medicaid is CADILLAC insurance far better than most all americans can afford.

When Obamacare collapses then the democrats will have no choice but to do it the way the republicans outline and it cant be worse than what it is.

First, I appreciate that you take my son into account.

That being said, I don't get subsidies, but without the "preexisting conditions" thing I couldn't get insurance for him at any price, so that is the part that is important to me.

But this is America man! No one should die because they can't afford treatment here. Don't say "they can go to the emergency room" because we (taxpayers) still pay for that, and it turns out to be more expensive. Drug dealers and "nefarious scumbags" (nice turn of phrase btw) rarely file taxes so probably aren't gonna sign up for the exchanges or get fined for not.

Medicaid isn't Cadillac insurance either, otherwise they wouldn't sell so many supplementary plans.

As far as cutting services and raising costs I know we've been over that before but I'm damned if I can remember the specifics. Feel free to refresh my memory.
