Very few female Marine recruits are signing up for previously all-male ground combat jobs — and even fewer are passing the gender-neutral physical tests required for those jobs, according to recent data from Training and Education Command.

So far this year, women account for less than 1 percent of Marine recruits who are showing up to boot camp with contracts to train for combat arms career fields, jobs that were restricted to men until the Pentagon changed policy in January 2016.




For the dozens of women who have tried for a spot in the combat arms, most of them are failing to pass the initial test. As a result, those women are forced to transfer into non-combat jobs.

When I was 19 I was the youngest sergeant in the army at that time. I addressed female sergeants as ma'am. Which pissed them off. I said my mother raised me right. Today that would likely get me court martialed.

I was in Israel in 1988. Had a lots of fun. On leave our squad got into a brawl with IDF. A woman in their unit watched all of our weapons while we fought. We ended up in a bar drinking together. She said she was Mossad. It was funny- everyone carried weapons everywhere.

Vast Majority Of Women Failing To Pass Marine Corps Combat Standards

Newly-released data shows that the vast majority of women are failing to pass Marine Corps combat fitness requirements at boot camp, while virtually all men are making it through to the next stage.
A total of 51 female Marine recruits arrived at boot camp with the intent of joining combat arms, but just 25 percent of the women passed the MOS Classification Standard, which is a test for combat jobs, Marine Corps Times reported Friday.
That is, only 13 women met base requirements.
However, the rate of passage for the men who went to boot camp with the same aim over the same time period of Oct. 1 to May 31 was 96 percent.
While the fail rate for women was three out every four, it is not dissimilar from the rate reported in 2016.

Sounds like the miserable failure every thinking man said it would be.

The bulk of women cannot make the cut needed to be in combat arms.

But soon they will lower the standards so anything with a pulse can be issued a rifle.
