The U.S. defense department has plans in place to deal with North Korean aggression, but they're not going to make their plans public. And President Trump, knowing what the plan is, can afford to take his "tough talk" approach. The idea is that it's better to bring things to a head now than to kick the can down the road to a time when the North is better prepared. Previous Presidents didn't deal with the problem effectively, so now President Trump has to deal with it.

President Trump took responsibility for this crisis on January 20, 2017, just as President Obama did on January 20, 2009, and President Bush did on January 20, 2001, and President Clinton did on January 20, 1993. Every action President Trump has taken since January 20 could have either helped the situation or hurt it.

Unfortunately, so far he seems to have chosen options that exacerbate the problem. It's been Amateur Hour in the Trump administration since day one and he has not taken any steps to fix that.
"Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."

All he ever contributes to anything is crap like that, him and handful of others
Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.

So you have the same synopsis for the prior 3 presidents then also right ? since they all failed, plus clinton gave them money to be nice.

NK cannot continue to threaten to fire off rockets and gain nuclear strength. Somewhere along the line the price will be paid and it wont be pretty. Whether its trump or the next one.

    Thank you.

I've tried to give him the floor as well, it's amazing the critics don't offer solutions nor even venture a suggestion. Harder t defend your own position than to criticize others.

My very first paragraph said the previous three presidents are just as responsible for the current state of affairs.

He should start by shutting down his Twitter account and keeping his bombastic rhetoric to himself. He's making the same mistake Obama made, he's running his mouth too much. Now that he's promised "fire and fury," he forces himself into a corner. He'll have to either follow through (which at this stage would be disastrous, the initial death toll could be around 300k Americans and millions of civilians) or make himself and our country look weak and embolden the NOKOs.
