Bad or otherwise tainted heroin kilks addicted sll the time. Sooner or later government is going to provide junkies with a safe product.

You are not going to motivate an addict to seek treatment while you are enabling their addiction.

Then they will require to have nurse's and doctor's on site to assist and supervise. And of course these safe injection sites will be located in city parks and such where people take their children to play.

    Yeah - exactly.

The "clean needles encourages drug use" crowd probably also think birth control makes women $#@!s.

It is enabling them to some degree - but they're addicts, and having clean needles or dirty needles isn't going to encourage them to get help. Clean needles will simply mean they are less likely to get a transmitted disease from sharing used needles.

Right. And same-sex marriage will lead to legalizing bestiality... wait... nope... Let's try to keep the discussion in the realm of what is realistic. The government handing out an illegal, controlled substance is never going to happen.

To a degree, I can see that, but unless they give them needles to take with for that 2 am hit, they will still use what is available.

If you were truly concerned about the personal welfare of the addict, you'd be finding ways to get these people into treatment.

First, you made a really stupid leap with that one, but providing safe heroin to junkies wasn't something I just thought up just now. It has been proposed in two far left wing west coast cities.

I would think it encourages them for having a sanctioned safe place to shoot drugs without having to scrounge needles, its an enabler
