    College Made Me a Conservative

Blurb: "Jay Stephens went into her elite liberal arts college a social justice warrior....and graduated as a get-off-my-lawn conservative."

I would think getting a job and having kids and having to feed them and house them and buy insurance and gas and pay for haircuts and school clothes etc would make a person a conservative.

I can definitely see how modern day colleges of safe spaces and race baiting would alienate many from being a modern day liberal.

I do not find it that bad. There are times when I know what my professors want to hear, which is whatever is PC on a given topic (mostly related to socioeconomic status, not necessarily race or gender or whatever). Dosen't happen in every class and sometimes I post or publish conservative opinions anyways and still get full points on the assignment. If you can back up your argument with facts and reputable journal articles, then professors can't really dock you for having a different opinion. My classes here in the United States are making me appreciate the Constitution more. I find myself arguing in favor of some conservative positions because I find I respect the Constitution more, and that's probably because my professors largely advocate in favor of the Constitution.

Maybe I take classes that are less "liberal" because I am in a law-related field that focuses on homeland security/counterterrorism.

I even had the tendency to get a little obnoxious and I was never docked. I always did well when it came to writing papers. The vast majority of my humanities profs were "progressive" and I never once felt threatened.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

At a minimum, it leads them into poverty....then divorce court! SAD!
