Not all White People were sick evil people in the 1960's who became less evil over time; they were good people in a sick system that became gradually less sick over time. Getting checked about racism is not an assault on your virtue, it's a reminder of the roles you play often without ever seeing them, understanding them or caring about them. Racism is not about you and it never was, and it doesn't help the discussion to take it that way and ignore that it still exist today.

No, illegals don't. I realize they're popular scapegoats but the ones I know drawing Social Security paid their FICA taxes and are drawing their checks now. The ones I know live in Mexico so they don't get Medicare.
Wives draw social security based on their husband's work so they get a free ride even if they're divorced.
It might be called an "entitlement" because there is no contractual agreement. It's a tax that you have to pay and whether or not you ever get anything back is strictly up to the whim of the government.

You never had to contribute to collect from either program. They were always "pay as you go" which is four words for "Ponzi scheme." Otherwise there would have been no recipients for decades. FDR and LBJ couldn't have that.
Legal immigrants get these benefits all the time. Old stoners who never paid much into the system get full benefits.

Sorry, Cigar, but some things are simply beyond you. 2+2=4 comes to mind. Taxcutter is right. Originally, people drew Social Security without having put anything in. Now people put in and are unlikely to ever draw out what they put in. Tell me, Cigar, what percentage of his gross income does a self-employed lawn maintenance guy who earns $80,000 a year pay for Social Security and Medicare? Feel free to use Google.
