Venezuela is what Democrats want for America. They've already succeeded in turning Detroit and Flint Michigan into mini-Venezuelas. Everywhere state socialists turn up, misery and poverty is sure to follow.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.
--John Adams
I don't get how Chomsky calls socialism capitalism. Even under socialism, in Venezuela, Cuba, USSR, N Korea, etc, the ruling class live rich of the back of the poor.

Your title (the same as that of the video) was very misleading, Chris. I expected to see a debate between Stossel and Chomsky on the subject. Instead, what I got was a four-minute lecture on the superiority of capitalism from Stossel with I believe three one-sentence quotations from Chomsky (which do seem accurate). Just a small complaint.

Stossel was talking about free markets. Chomsky is using Marx's capitalism and double speak.
It was very one sided, but it can't be denied Valenzuela is an failed socialist dream.
