    Of course, you know that.

It takes courage and commitment to recognize the mistakes made by your side then correct those mistakes. It's easier to complain and pass the blame on to those who opposed those policies and laws.

I am sure he still has his copy of the memo that went out to all Republicans and all Democrats to switch parties. I must have lost mine. In fact, I don't remember receiving it.

Let's see if it passes the smell test....

Republican - Speaking about Maine's effort to combat drug crime, Paul LePage said that "the enemy right now... are people of colour or people of Hispanic origin".

Tea Party - “I hear you loud and clear, Barack Obama. You don’t represent the country that I grew up with. And your values is [sic] not going to save us. We’re going to take this country back for the Lord. We’re going to try to take this country back for conservatism. And we’re not going to allow minorities to run roughshod over what you people believe in!”

Dixiecrat - A Democrat, Connor enforced legal racial segregation and denied civil rights to black citizens, especially during the Southern Christian Leadership Conference's Birmingham campaign of 1963. He became an international symbol of institutional racism. Bull Connor directed the use of fire hoses and police attack dogs against civil rights activists; children protestors were also subject to these attacks.[2][3] These tactics to continue white supremacy were covered by national media and broadcast on national television, horrifying much of the nation. The outrages served as catalysts for major social and legal change in the Southern United States and contributed to passage by the United States Congress of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.[4]

So, all ya'll have to go on is the fact that the label "democrat", I say run with it, cause everyone that is the target of the wrath by the ideology of conservatism knows better.
“Conscientiously believing that the proper condition of the negro is slavery, or a complete subjection to the white man, and entertaining the belief that the day is not distant when the old Union will be restored with slavery nationally declared to be the proper condition of all of African descent, and in view of the future harmony and progress of all the States of America, I have been induced to issue this address, so that there may be no misunderstanding in the future”

    - Jefferson Davis

He's come a long way though from days he said it was Republicans. At least now it's acknoledged the racism was from Democrats. But he anachronistically modifies them as conservative Democrats.

Progressivism start in the 1890. Liberalism came into American politics when FDR abandoned progressivism for the new label liberal. The American conservative movement began in the 1950s. Neocons started in the 60. Theocons after Carter.

Southern Democrats, right on up to their segregationist rejection of the CRA, were pushed out of office by young Repulicans who accepted the CRA.

Liberals always present a moving target. They refuse to be pinned down on their their own policies or ideas.

Is this untrue? Are blacks and Hispanics the primary source of illegal drugs in Maine? It is hard to find the answer. Obama's Justice Department commingled caucasian and Dominican (Republic) sources. I am not inclined to dig deeper. It is not that important to me.

Who? There is no single TEA Party. There were many hundreds of local organizations. Obama's values are not American values. They are ancient European, socialist values. They are leftist values.

The Democratic Party was the party of the pre-Civil War South. It was the party of slavery. It was the party of bestial behavior that one always gets when one person owns another. It was the party of routine rape of black women, especially young, attractive black women.

The Democratic Party was the party of the Ku Klux Klan. The Klan was the Democratic Party's militant, violent tool used to intimidate blacks and Republicans. Today the Democratic Party has Antifa for the same purpose.

The Democratic Party was the party of segregation and Jim Crow laws. It was then and continues to be a radical, hateful, dangerous party.
