I guess the Oath Keepers, militia, and ‘patriots will keep their 2nd amendment tools at home this time, or will the right say they have the right to carry....
Will await the deflections.

“Conscientiously believing that the proper condition of the negro is slavery, or a complete subjection to the white man, and entertaining the belief that the day is not distant when the old Union will be restored with slavery nationally declared to be the proper condition of all of African descent, and in view of the future harmony and progress of all the States of America, I have been induced to issue this address, so that there may be no misunderstanding in the future”
- Jefferson Davis
Yes and simple explanation for each, bicycles can be weapons, coolers you are not here on a picnic dont get comfortable. Pets pitbulls and attack dogs are pets all pets have the potential to bite.
This isnt a day at the beach, its protests that not only always have the potential for violence but have recently demonstrated thats what they want and will do.
Police across the country have to get a grip on these protests before bullets start flying everywhere and snipers start dropping innocent people. You cant get a grip without being TOUGH and STRICT and CONSISTENT.

There's nothing wrong with questioning why certain things are on the list - or with questioning the relation of certain items to security concerns. We make fun of the TSA and their confiscating matches - but not lighters - and shampoo bottles for containing two ounces over the limit, don't we?
A bicycle as a weapon? Excuse me, but that's a little far-fetched, although I'm pretty sure I saw Jackie Chan kick some asses with one in one of his movies. The list of things that one could pick up off any public street and wield as a weapon to far greater effect than a bicycle is a long one.
In my experience, coolers are prohibited at certain venues for two reasons and those reasons only: it's something else for guards to search, and they can be used to bring in cold drinks and food that somebody wants to sell you inside. (Concerned about weapons in a cooler? Look inside. Was that so hard?)
Pets? Well, I suppose the "attack dog" fear does have some validity; I guess I'm just remembering after 9-11 the way some popular street fairs and festivals around here added "dogs" to the list of prohibited items, with no explanation, and it seemed to be, more than anything, just a convenient opportunity for people who didn't like dogs to keep them out.

But then he can't march.
I don't think we can know all BPD's reasons, I'd imagine they've studied it, or someone has, and says here are items to prohibit.
And the point is to exercise free speech, long as that's not prohibited, they could prohibit clothes for all I care. Then Captain Obvious and resister would show up.
