Why do people protest outside of the Supreme Court?

It irks me every time I see it. Of the three branches, the court is supposed to make judgements based on the law alone, not the "will of the people". That's the job of Congress so what is supposed to be the point of protesting outside of the court aside from publicly advertising your ignorance of how our system of government is designed to work?
    Make Orwell fiction again.

Supreme Court justices aren't above being infected by political correctness.

That's about the size of it. The great majority of people who criticize Supreme Court (or really any court) decisions never bother to read the decisions for themselves, or make an attempt to understand the legal reasoning behind them; they trust the media - which gets it wrong more often than not - to explain it to them, or they simply base their disagreement on the fact that it didn't go the way they would have liked.

Where has that applied with this current court? When they came down on the side of supporting an obvious unconstitutional law, the ACA?

Oh so you haven't heard? The SC became the Donkephant's $#@! decades ago. We finally have a textualist back on the court so things are moving in the right direction, but for too long the SC had been nothing more than an extension of the two controling parties. Hence the illusion to the people that their will matters anywhere in this system
