Our first Thanksgiving together, the wife and I did the whole big traditional dinner thing, and there was a casserole dish filled with sweet potatoes topped with those little marshmallows baking in the oven as we got everything prepared. At some point, she asked "How are the sweet potatoes doing?" and I opened the oven door - some of the marshmallows had melted, run down the side of the dish and ignited, causing the entire top of the thing to follow suit - and said calmly, "They're on fire". Now an inside family joke, of course, but thankfully not a tradition.

I consider @Bethere a dear friend. Although we've never met, we live 20 miles apart, know each other's real name, e-mail regularly, have common interests and even mutual friends. While I know some of you don't agree, I consider him an intellectual, well read with a broad based general knowledge. We often agree and prefer to discuss when we don't. He's the forum king in not so subtle art of needling and I bet most of you, whether you'd admit it or not, love to see what he's posted even though you can't stand him.............hmmmmm........Kind of like the POTUS.
