    Stuffed Peppers

Something we havent made since the kids have all gone. All our married lives, I bought roasts one Rump one chuck and ground the meat my self. I have never trusted pre ground meat from super markets.

Since the kids are gone when my grinder finally said Nomas after 30 yrs I didnt buy another.

My wife got a recipe for ground turkey stuffed peppers from a friend that said its great. So tomorrow night will be Stuffed Peppers.

Tonight were having Spinach, Garlic Mozzarella and Asiago Raviolis. You dont put red sauce over that, so it will have an oil garlic basil over them.

My stepmom is Italian and my dad is a highly educated redneck (masters degree in animal science) he is always $#@!ing about her cooking, says she cant cook southern food right. You sound like you are describing her usual menu!

I think I make pretty good stuffed peppers. I just wing it, though. Never bothered with an actual recipe. I either go sort of Italian with the spices and some parmesan cheese, or I go "Tex-Mex" (right word?) with southern spices and some cheddar. Always use small pieces of chicken. I cook everything, then stuff the pepper and roast it for about 45 minutes at 400.

The key is to get female peppers.

4 is female. It makes them balance a lot easier, usually. They tend to be shorter and rounder.
