Hodges was decided on the grounds of the Commerce Acts, so technically, SCOTUS side stepped the issue of same sex marriage. Appellate courts can do the same thing too.
Yes, agree, the issue is still open. Maybe Johnson and Stein will pursue it to the next level.

Gary Johnson is a former Governor. He was a credible candidate. He was virtually shut out by the establishment media who controls messaging.

As bull$#@! as the system is, Johnson kinda screwed himself this time around though. He was polling around 10 percent, he could have gotten to 15 If he didn't start acting like a malfunctioning potato.

Every candidate makes the occasional gaff or ill advised statement. The media pounces on those who they want to marginalize.

Gary acted too clownish. I think that's in part in his character, but also in part to disarm people's fears of libertarianism as we get it from both sides.

Gary acted weird, has the Aleppo goof, and picked a vp who supported gun control. That was a wrap for him.

Of course they lost . The two parties of scum that kept them out of the debate own most of the courts. They might better sponsor protest with the slogan "What are you $#@!s so afraid of that you won't debate us?"

    The media portrayed him
as a cartoonish figure. He had more reasonable stances on all the issues than any of the nominees.
