Hyperbole.
World War means the big-league industrial powers go to more or less unrestricted warfare. That means mushrooms.
Who is going to nuclear war just because Hamas got frisky and is getting spanked again?

You can't blame the crats for our problems when it was the cans that joined with them over the decades to turn America into one big Communist reservation.
Maybe we need a Monkey Party instead of republican party. After all, we've all been made out to to monkeys.
Even you scumbag defenders of the Palestinians have to admit that this is a new low. Even Saddam Hussein did not target the Holy city of Jerusalem. The Palestinians once again started the current conflict, and their people will pay the price for their racial hatred and bigotry and beligerence. Israel is beginning it's preparations for ground invation of Gaza. This could cause the conflict to spread to Egypt, Lebanon, Syria Jordan and Iran. Hamas and the Palastinians are the clear aggressors. They are the puppets of Iran. Hezbolla and Hamas are poised to strike Israel if Israel makes a move against Iranian nukes, which nobody else seems willing to take on.
If only we didn't have a spineless turd sandwich in the Oval Office. Don't expect the someone born of Kenyan heritage to support Israel. Another example of why it was stupid to vote for barack hussein obama.
JERUSALEM — Palestinian militants fired rockets for the first time at Jerusalem on Friday in a daring new escalation of hostilities with Israel on the third day of their latest lethal conflict over Gaza, triggering air raid sirens and panicking residents who had thought themselves secure from such attacks because of the holy city’s multireligious heritage and large Palestinian population.
The Israeli authorities did not immediately confirm the origin of the rocket fire, but it was assumed that the source was Gaza, where the Palestinian militant group Hamas and its radical affiliates have amassed arsenals of smuggled rockets with increased ranges and more accurate trajectories in recent years. On Thursday, they launched at least two at Tel Aviv, Israel’s biggest city, for the first time, and on Friday launched more as part of a response to a large-scale aerial assault by the Israelis on targets in Gaza and indications that Israel was close to launching its first ground invasion there in four years.
Jerusalem, a city holy to Jews, Muslims and Christians, had been previously thought off-limits to rocket attacks by militant Palestinians and others who reject Israel’s claim to the city as its capital. Even Saddam Hussein, the Iraqi leader, had avoided targeting the city when he aimed Scud missiles at Israel during the first Persian Gulf War in 1991. The city is about 48 miles from the Gaza border.

Saddam Hussein, I don't think he ever would have targeted Jerusalem.
Didn't I just say that this would spread to other countries? What the Hell is Egypt doing allowing Hamas terrorist fire rockets from their country? Won't be surprised to see Egypt join the fight when Israel starts the ground war.
Two major Israeli newspapers are reporting that rockets fired from Egypt have hit Israel. "Terrorists in the Sinai Peninsula launched rockets into Israel Friday night," reports the Jerusalem Post. "The rockets fell near an Israeli village on the southern border, causing some damage, but no injuries."
The Israeli daily Haaretz reports, "Rockets fired from direction of Egypt toward Eshkol Regional Council."
It appears no damage was reported in connection with the rocket fire from Egypt. Earlier today, the Egyptian prime minister visited Gaza to express solidarity with the Palestinians there.
This new front comes a day after a rocket landed near Tel Aviv and on the same day Israel's capital Jerusalem was the target of rocket fire. Those attacks were courtesy of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
"After Tel Aviv metropolitan area, capital under fire too: An air raid siren was sounded in Jerusalem and surrounding communities early Friday evening. After residents reported hearing blast sounds, security forces confirmed that one rocket had landed in the Gush Etzion area near a Palestinian village," Ynet reports.

I imagine that the current Egyptian government wants to fight Israel. I also imagine that if they give that order, the Egyptian military will stage a coup. They have no desire to get slaughtered (again) by Israelis.

Yes, to a disastrous result. The Egyptian military has been well trained by the US, and they know what they cannot do. They also know that they have US military equipment. And if they attack Israel their equipment will run out of replacement parts pretty fast..... How long do you think an M1A1 main battle tank will last in the fight without maintenance?
Gee, the news media fails to mention this stuff. Palestinians send rockets across the borders and the evil Zionists respond by sending truckloads of medicine and food. The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) said on Sunday that 80 truckloads of medical equipment and food were transferred into Gaza through the Kerem Shalom and Erez border crossings.
COGAT said in a statement: "The goods transferred via the Kerem Shalom crossing included 16 truckloads of medical equipment and 64 truckloads of food."
It added that 35 diplomatic representatives and international employees left Gaza through the Erez crossing.
