Perhaps they would, although I doubt it. But there are enough radicals there to screw it up and cause Israel to wage war.

And that's the very reason hamas won't bring it to the International Court if they become a state.

In order to prove Israeli war crimes they'll have to implicate themselves.

Besides hamas doesn't want statehood, then they couldn't justify the destruction of Israel without which they have no purpose and will cease to exist.

True. Hamas is a walking war crime. Libs make a habit of ignoring that.

I'd be willing to bet that there are crimes are being committed by both sides pretty regularly

Unfortunately it's the nature of war.

Has Israel signed that treaty to forgo its sovereign rights. The US said no (rightfully).

Bull. Israel has no rights to Palestine. The 1967 settlement saw to that. Except that Israel took no notice of it.

Even though the US voted "no" in the current conflab, Obama is on record as upholding that settlement.

President Barack Obama on Thursday made official the long-held but rarely stated U.S. support for a future Palestinian state based on borders that existed before the 1967 Middle East war.In the past, the United States has unofficially backed a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict based on the borders in place prior to the war 44 years ago in which Israel seized the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Golan Heights and Sinai Peninsula.
In a major speech Thursday, Obama became the first president to formally endorse the policy, but he also acknowledged the need for modifications through the negotiating process due to conditions on the ground.

So does the overwhelming opinion of most of the planet. The Israelis can $#@! all they like.
