In the very near future, those of us who subscribe to services with hundreds of channels will be a small minority, and most people will possess a sort of cafeteria-style collection of shows they follow, which will be available to them anywhere they happen to be - at home on their big screen t.v. or on their tablet or phone. That sort of thing is already available to some extent, and the under-30 folks are increasingly taking advantage of it.

We actually haven't used the indoor antenna much, if any at all. I love my Roku and when I want to watch something it is Youtube, Amazon, or some other service I can get over the internet.That explains why you receive the 5 OTA networks and their sub-stations with that indoor antenna.

I have a firestick, so I predict you will like your roku. Btw, if you use your college email addy amazon prime is 50% off. $5 a month for that, your roku, and free ota and you'll have a ton of stuff to choose from. I would do this, but I'm a sports fan. Sling has half of the sports channels and te rest are on fobu. But that'll be worked out soon hopefully, and when it does cable/satellite is in deep trouble.
You can stream several news channels with your Pluto tv ap. Some of it is day old, but CBS news and RT (haha) are live and very hifi.

It's dependent upon where you live on all OTA channels.
