Its time to take down the Fat Cat Union Bosses

Its time to take on these union bosses who work for them selves more than their union members.

Average Teacher makes $44k average top union bosses pull in nearly $500k a year.

Mid level Union Bosses make $118,000 a year on average. http://www.simplyhired.com/a/salary/search/q-Union+Boss

    • American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) – Gerald McEntee: $565,035
In an era when “the 99%” are protesting private corporations that are supposedly squelching democracy, and President Obama is taking issue with the political campaign spending of “special interests”, you’d think the public sector employee must be helpless and without any voting power whatsoever. But this public sector union outspent even the Chamber of Commerce and Karl Rove’s ‘evil’ American Crossroads PAC in 2010 when AFSCME contributed $87 million to the congressional elections. “"We're spending big. And we're damn happy it's big. And our members are damn happy it's big-it's their money,” AFSCME president McEntee told the Wall Street Journalthat year. I doubt that all taxpayers would agree. And by the way, where was Occupy to protest that special interest spending?

    • National Education Association (NEA) – John Wilson: $492,484
In 2007, this union – which represents over three million members, most on taxpayer funded salaries – spent over $80 million, 20% of its budget, toward left-wing causes and groups, regardless of the personal beliefs of its members. That source pointed out, “As a Wall Street Journal editorial noted, the union's financial disclosure forms "expose the union as a honey pot for left-wing political causes that have nothing to do with teachers, much less students."

    • United Food & Commercial Workers (UFCW) – Joseph Hansen: $352,758
UFCW is no stranger to knock-down, drag-out fights. In 2007, after enduring the union’s relentless corporate campaigns, Smithfield Foods finally filed a RICO lawsuit against UFCW, insisting the move was a necessary last resort. The company and union later settled the matter when Smithfield agreed to drop the suit if UFCW suspended its campaigns.

    • AFL-CIO - Richard Trumka: $293,750
Trumka has just recently said that he’s met with President Obama about his second term agenda. So if you’re one of those (sssshhhh) Republican union members in Trumka’s organization, your money is going to Obama whether you like it or not. (By the way, do you know your Beck rights? You can ask your union to refund dues money that is not used to represent YOU.)

    • Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) - Dan Burkhalter: $242,000
As union members and supporters were protesting Walker’s budget cuts and comparing him to Hitler, WEAC laid off employees of its own, while its leaders raked in six-figure salaries.

We could cut the Teach Union Leader Salaries down to 200k and have a extra 300k for education students every year.

We had the same type of problem in the 60's and it took Thatcher to save us from the Unions .
There is a move back to union strength in the last few years ( 2 to 3 ) -- quite predictable in the circumstances . All the more reason to smash them once again .
Their prime areas of involvement are great and to be applauded . Tragically the vast majority of union power barons assume they also know how to run an economy and structure society . Which is tragic as they are invariably not the brightest of people and usually extremely coarse and vulgar , which is exceedingly irritating .

Public school teachers are nothing but PC government workers. None of them should be permitted to have unions or to strike against the taxpayers.

Remember, that great progressive icon who turned a two year panic into a 10 year depression, good ole FDR, said it first.

FDR saved this country from communism or fascism but that is the truth and I sense that some here are not prone to wanting to hear the truth.

FDR put in place many socialist/communist programs. FDR did not go to war against Russia he went to war on Japan. Germany declared war on us a few days latter.

Please explained how he saved us from Communism? We where allies with the Soviet Union during WWII. But sadly liberal public schools do not teach history anymore.

Revisionist history much? What a joke, FDR had his entire administration loaded with egg sucking red commies--including his right hand man Alger Hiss. Ronald Reagan is the great leader that put communism into the trashbin of history for good. FDR was so enamored with Joseph Stalin that he called him Uncle Joe. Read some books on how FDR was duped into believing everything Stalin said--much of which was anti American in nature. Chruchill himself saw how foolish FDR was toward Stalin in the meetings the 3 of them had together. Methinbks FDR was buddy buddy with Stalin because he himself was a socialist commie.

Mussolini and Hitler praised FDR and his New Deal stating that "FDR is one of us." FDR was the man who destroyed federalism and usurped the power of the States.
