    Just saying.

To be fair there are a number of verses in both the OT and NT I wonder whether they were inspired scripture, or simply the desires of men. And in a few cases both.

Regardless, there it is. Make of it what you will.

It's also kind of a silly comment. We only know what Jesus "said" via the Gospel writers. If you are skeptical of Paul why not be skeptical of the Gospels?
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

Right, but it was "it is an equality which is of order and not of disorder" that really struck me. In the order of an organic collective, you have a place definedbut your place is interdependent with others, thus you are equal, as opposed to the modern, artificial collective where you're "an isolated irresponsible atom" and equality is meaningless.

All religions have deplorable things in their holy books, but it would seem that Christianity more so than the others has evolved with the modern day better, and most followers don't take it as literally as followers of other religions.

Understood. While modernity grew out of Christian theology/anthropology to one extent or another Christian evangelists, apologists etc. did not envision the detachment and anomie characteristic of the modern world.

Dude... stay on topic, this is a meathead Christian bashing thread, not an intelligent discussion thread.

That's why I refused to address him.

I am skeptical of Paul the same way I am skeptical of Muhammad or Joseph Smith.

    Bingo.

When you start saying certain people are/aren't legit - it all unravels. That being said, the song of Solomon has some head scratchers in it.

I can't say the Bible KJV is perfectly accurate. But that y is what a prophet is for, along with prayer coupled with personal revelation.

    But that is just me.
