Probably. This kind of thing is pretty sick - perhaps a reflection of a growing sickness and meanness in society. Kids are like the canary in the coal mine.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

An attempted murder charge for the 14 year old is appropriate.

I believe the word you're looking for is racism. But you're right: when children act this way, society itself is to blame on some level.

    And Dr Who......

Is it? You have all the facts and can now lynch someone yourself?

We don't have any facts. Who knows what they were doing? Mom says herself she may be jumping to conclusions "based on the state" of things right now. Can we wait and see before we convict?

I am tired of everyone fighting with each other. This is all by design.

I meant what I said. You may not like my insertion of politics into this topic, but frankly look who is president and the sort of racial views he is known for. You don't think anyone under the age of 18 takes notice? Or just look at what demographic dominates the online alt-right movement: teenage boys! It may be irresponsible parenting too, but I don't think parenting in 2017 is something that's happening in a vacuum. Teenagers are influenced by their parents for sure, but also by prominent public figures and perhaps especially their peers as well. In fact, I would say that, in one's teenage years, typically the influence of one's peers prevails over that of their parents.

Politics? No, you introduced racism into it. Oh, wait, identity politics. My bad.
