29 Victims of Attorney Theft Awarded more than $228,000. In Ohio, when attorneys register as lawyers every other year, there is a fairly significant fee. Part of that fee goes to the victim assistance fund. Recently, that fund awarded just under a quarter of a million dollars in awards to people fleeced out of money by attorneys.
