Tough call. There seem to be a lot of "conflicting facts" regarding pit bulls.

Not sure which ones to believe.

And from another angle. How granular does a ban go with pit bull mixes? Half pit bull? Quarter pit bull? Who can even tell with a mutt what all breeds are intermingled into it's ancestry.

When I worked in ER, I was discharging a patient with a back injury. I wheeled her out to the car. Her husband reached across and opened the door from the driver's side. I bent over to help the patient up and into the car when all of a sudden a pit bull, which was in the back seat, lunged towards me. I would possible not be here today except the husband luckily reached out and grabbed the dog by its collar before it made contact with me.

Apparently the dog thought I was trying to harm its human. The dog came within a foot of my face. The husband apologized and said the dog had never done anything like that before. That made me feel better. It is always an honor to be the first person a pit bull attacks.

I was riding my bike up a highway, this super stout pit came running across the highway from my blind side (almost getting ran over) not barking at all, I outpaced him. Came back home the same route 15 minutes later, I swear it laid in ambush for me, this time I got off the bike and got my bullwhip out, he came running towards me as I cracked the whip, he stopped short about 20ft away, he kepy lunging and backing up but would get no closer than about 20ft, I was going to cut it's nose off if it got close enough.

That dog really wanted blood, he never barked once. Damn good thing I had that whip!

Up around where I live, you never seem them. Some communities, while not outright banning them, require pit bull owners to have liability insurance of a half to one million dollars.
It is a good idea for anyone (who has assets) to have an umbrella policy of $1M. Covers a lot of stuff to include auto, home, etc.

That may be true - but it doesn't really matter.

If humans can't believe the critter's reasoning, to friggin bad. You can attack and kill the planet's Apex predators without consequences.

I love dogs. But I'd kill each and every one of them if they became a problem for people.

Some pitbulls are violent and dangerous. Should pitbulls be banned?

Now replace the word "pitbull" with "muslim". Interesting...
