I am piloting a 60 pound bike at 10 mph on backroads with a 1300 lumen light. Been doing it for years.

I guess I'm confused as to what you were riding ? A Mini bike? Or a 60 lb. bicycle? A dirt bike?

About 30 minutes ago, I was at a red light and a cop makes a left turn, I see him make a 3 point turn in my ample mirror, Sure enough red and blue, I make sure my hands are ver visible and no sudden moves.

He takes my name and DOB and warns me for for a rear light, I have a 1300 lumen front light that is often mistaken for a motorcycle.

Then he asks the magic question "have anything on you that you not supposed to, I answer truthfully "no".

He let me go, but I was likely over the limit, I am good at holding my beer.

My eyes were shiny bright and I could easily pass a field test.

I know it is not a great idea to drive buzzed, but I am a very capable cyclist who obeys the rules of the road, I was 4 blocks from the house.

Thus is the extent of my lawbreaking, these days.

Guess I need me a red tail light, even though my front light, lights up street signs, 3 NFL fields away!
