Stormfront has been the subject of controversy after being removed from French, German, and Italian Google indexes, for targeting an online Fox News poll on racial segregation, and for having political candidates as members. The site was too visible on Google and it often showed up as top results when I looked into race-related issues such as race and IQ. But I had never bothered to create an account because there was no intelligent discussion going on there, mostly meaningless one-liners.

I first learned about it when Peter mentioned it here on PF. I visited briefly, fully expecting exactly what I found, as I judged it by its title, which was obviously lifted from Nazi rhetoric. Figured it to be a fringe thing initially, so I thereafter ignored it until the Trump campaign started becoming a big deal in the second half of 2015. That's when I realized that their membership must be larger than I thought and started lurking more often, as part of what I like to call my ideological opposition research.

The reason you can't find them anymore is because they lost their domain not long ago, in the wake of the events of Charlottesville. They're now consigned to the dark web.

Never been on the site although I've heard about it. Didn't they get shut down by their provider?

Why is it OK for web hosting companys to ban sites such as Stormfront and others for what they (the web host) believes to be offensive yet photogs or bakers must do business with parties that are offensive to their believe system ??
