The current Dallas Stars were NEVER A CANADIAN TEAM. They were the Minnesota North Stars when they entered the NHL, at the FIRST EXPANSION....hockey is an international sport...Americans have just "caught up"...thankfully.
It IS the US fans who support most of the league...your point, perhaps?
