The question was asked yesterday I think, why is Hollywood so obsessed with sex? You can't have a movie without a gratuitous show of B(.)(.)bs anymore. And now we have to have comic book characters with definable sex lives. Why is that?
Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.

Romance has been a major part of every entertainment medium for about as long as we have even had entertainment.

How many times does it have to be pointed out that characters in movies have always had romantic - and, to the extent permissible by the censors and social mores of the time, sexual - interests and entanglements before it penetrates your understanding? Did Errol Flynn ever play a guy who was totally disinterested in the ladies? Ever hear of Mae West? It only seems to bother certain people now because it's okay with the movie makers - along with the great majority of filmgoers - if a character occasionally plays for the other team, as they say.
"It is a foolish man who believes that he possesses all of the answers unless he is absolutely certain that he has heard all of the questions." - me

"All three of my kids are adopted, and I'm always telling them, 'Don't ever get high and sign things'." - Paula Poundstone

I'm not seeing the movie unless Thor is Bi, a fecalfeliac and does bi-racial three-ways.

How long until characters are required to declare political leanings? Will the good guys always be democrats and the bad guys republican?

A better question might be why is romance linked to sex anymore. It used to be more suggestive.

And he has to be for a diverse Scandinavia.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

They generally go hand-in-hand, like bathing suits and swimming.

What is wrong with men admitting another man is handsome, or attractive, or whatever? I can admit when another woman is attractive... doesn't mean I am a Lesbian.
