    Overrated Songs

I keep hearing DJs calling Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' "one of the greatest (if not the greatest) rock song of all time".

    Not getting it at all.

There's nothing about that song or its performance that stands out to me in any way. If I thought about it and did a little research, I think I could probably come up with a list of at least a hundred rock songs that are better.

That song changed music forever. Kobain was an incredible song writer.

It couldn't have changed too much. I have never heard it or even heard of it.

Kobain was overrated. There are hundreds of singer/songwriters out there who have contributed more to music that he did. He is more famous for blowing his own head off than anything else.

After both of your times Cletus and SW, popular music passed you both by.

Pink Floyd, totally over rated band.

My time is still going. Kobain's stopped when he ate his shotgun.
Pink Floyd, totally over rated band.
    I don't disagree with that.

    I don't disagree with that.
If you never heard of Teen Spirit I agree, your time is going... somewhere.

Nirvana never interested me. I heard them once or twice, wasn't impressed and saw no need to hear them again. There were too many better bands out there.

Okay, I just pulled it up on YouTube. I have heard it and more than once. It just didn't impress me enough to remember it by name.

I'm not a big fan either. I'm a child of the 90's, alt-rock is my core music but 90's stations play way too much Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins and Alice in Chains. There was tons more to 90's than a few bands.

I turn to another station when they play them.
