Melania Trump Responds To Librarian Who Rejected A Gift Of Books As ‘Racist Propagand

This is how sick the left has become

Melania Trump has responded to the absurd actions from a Massachusetts elementary school librarian who rejected her gift of Dr. Seuss books claiming they are “steeped in racist propaganda.”
The first lady donated a collection of 10 Dr. Seuss books to one school in all 50 states to celebrate “National Read a Book Day,” but one of those generous gifts was rejected,

Liz Phipps Soeiro, a librarian at a public school in Cambridge, rejected Trump’s gift and sent her a letter explaining that “Dr. Seuss’s illustrations are steeped in racist propaganda, caricatures, and harmful stereotypes.”
The first lady’s director of communications Stephanie Grisham issued a statement on Friday on behalf of Mrs. Trump that Soeiro’s response was “unfortunate” and that the gesture was meant “to help as many children as she can.”

    Haven't the foggiest idea.

This sort of venomous reply from the librarian is a disappointment for one whom is a steward of knowledge.

Twitter accuses Michelle Obama of pushing 'racist' literature onto children

I think the librarian is nuts, and that's putting it mildly.

Twitter accuses Michelle Obama of pushing 'racist' literature onto children

Former first lady Michelle Obama is facing accusations of pushing "racist" literature onto children by Twitter users after a school librarian rejected a donation of books from first lady Melania Trump and wrote a blog criticizing her literary choices.

Trump got heat Friday after Massachusetts school librarian Liz Phipps Soeiro declined several Dr. Seuss books donated by the first lady, claiming the material was "cliché" and based on "racist propaganda."

“Open one of his books (‘If I Ran a Zoo’ or ‘And to Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street,’ for example), and you’ll see the racist mockery in his art,” Soeiro wrote in an open letter to Trump, adding that the books were filled with “racist propaganda, caricatures, and harmful stereotypes.”

Now many online are jumping to Trump's defense by posting older photos of Michelle Obama reading children excerpts from Dr. Seuss books, arguing that the books weren't considered "racist" until President Trump was sworn into office.

Dr. Seuss ok when Michelle Obama read it to children but now has racist undertones when our First Lady donates books? Unreal," one user wrote, while another posted: "Amazing... the same books Michelle Obama read to children, are now racist books because Trump is President."

I don't find Dr. Suess books to be racist - I am not sure whether that is actually a "thing". Maybe I missed the research or something. I would read them to my hypothetical children. I loved certain Dr. Suess books.
