People are romantic. They like the idea of big government, just not the corrupt reality of it.

    Psychological conditioning.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

There already are. Corporate involvement in prisons (and schools) is highly profitable, notably in imprisoning young poor kids on otherwise minor crimes. It's a get rich scheme for the corporations, judges, and politicians.

Some would call that a conspiracy, yes? Let me ask you this, then. I agree with what you say, but are you willing to go further, or do you stop there? For instance, if the government if corrupt enough and contemptible enough to do this, they're capable of further nefarious deeds, correct?

Half true, it is indeed their will, and they exert it on compliant politicians. It takes both sides to perpetrate the fraud.

True but while wealth is a necessary cause power is a sufficient one. In this sense, as long as there's power there will be those who purchase it. Regulate away the top 1% or 10% or top any percent of wealth from purchasing power, and those immediately below will do it. As long as there is power there will be those who rent seek it's favors. Regulation only increases power and thereby the target for more rent seeking. Regulate, nay, reduce the power to fix the problem.

Much crime an alot of it violent come out of drug sales and addiction and prostitution. Drug addiction and prostitution are much intertwined. There is so much related crimes from robberies, assaults B&Es robberies and murder, the whole gamut of crime.

If you legalize drugs it doesnt change the pursuit to get the cash to buy it and it may makie it much worse with higher cost

Its illegality creates risk that drives up the price though. Simple supply and demand.

You guys have to get over this idea that US prisons are full of people who didn't do anything wrong.

Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.
