Wealth Inequality: Where Is The Line?

I earn a good income from being a nurse. I am not wealthy by any means, but I am wealthy compared to a poor family living in a ghetto.

Should the poor family resent my financial success as a nurse?

My BFF's husband is an advisor to a company he owned (and sold). He works both for the company and does contractor-like work for other companies. He has a unique skill that other companies are willing to pay large amounts of money for. He is, by any description, wealthy. When his son graduated from (private) high school, he bought him a Cadillac SUV.

Should I feel resentment at the wealth inequality between my BFF's family and mine?

Where is the line between the wealthy and the rest of us, and should we feel resentment for their success?

Nobody should feel resentment toward anyone.

Oh, there is no line. Such lines are imaginary and abstractions in the sense there will always be rich and poor, and divisions in between. But in reality it's a dynamic situation with people rising and falling all the time.
