Not sure why you would make this personal but whatever....

I agree, there is a disconnect with the audience she is trying to attract. She should have taken a break in between venues and maybe she would have been able to reset more successfully. Coming off of her gig with Putin probably didn't help either.
Salaries are based on what the market will pay for their specific services. I don't care about how much others make. It's strikes me as jealousy and envy when people are concerned with the high salaries of others. That's not making it personal, unless one is thin skinned and continually offended by everything.

She did take a break. She was off the air for months. There was too much media hype leading up to her NBC debut. Her mistake was going from hard hitting interviews and political commentary to a variety entertainment style program. That is like an NBA basketball star trying to play in the NFL.

Yes, she looked lost and in over her head with the Putin interview.

Good point and that was what I was saying also. I think the salaries will start to go down as the areas I outlined start taking a hit on their reputations. MSM has already been in a war defending their reputation. Now we have athletes getting into the fray with their protests. I think it will definitely be a factor in how the salaries are set going forward.

As far as taking things personally, I'm not thin skinned that's why I said "whatever" but I'm also not shy so I don't have a problem pointing out something I find odd. Chalk it up to me still learning posting styles of certain members.

Just curious, why do you think the protests by professional athletes is in any way connected to the reputation of the mainstream media or relative to their salaries? I don't get that connection.

As far as salaries go, I don't care at all. The free market dictates.

The connection is the public reaction to these activities. Of course, I could be completely misreading it and there isn't any backlash that will impact salaries.

    We'll see

I really don't care about the salaries either. I was merely making a prediction on what I thought could happen based on the public's reaction to some of these entities.

I don't see the salaries paid to athletes being impacted by the protests. One or two may be impacted if their protest becomes a distraction causing a division on a team, but it's not going impact the NFL salary structure.
