    Ah, I see. No different than a county or local jail except it's for federal crimes. It's also a very small slice of the inmate pie. Once they are convicted they are sent to a federal prison. You were saying?

    To maintain that level of population, the classify already sentenced and convicted prisoners into Corp of Americas run prision till it meets the contract. They have the same contract everywhere they operate a prision.



    They are not putting people in prison to meet a quota
    If theres ever a drop in incarceration that disallows the state to divert prisoners to a Corp of America prision theres a clause in the contract that they can re negotiate the terms and prices.

    Ive already stated I am against private prisons but they do not raise incarceration numbers nor do they have any impact on criminal justice system other than on inmates

    @Common thank you once again for your knowledge on this topic. I think it's quite clear now that the impact of private prisons on our legal system exists only as a potentiality. The only legitimate argument to be made at this point is one of principle: justice should not be for profit.
