If I believe this other site, 80% of homicides are gang related.

I'm sure the wildly disproportionate amount of gun violence in Chicago is just the result of an excess of passion and exuberance.

It's pretty obvious that when we exclude the aberrant violence occurring in cities controlled by Democrats, our violent crime rates are even less remarkable than they first appear.

They are talking overall. I'm sure in Chicago the percent of homicides that are gang related are much higher than the national average.

Yes, but what if all the other countries also subtracted their top 5 most violent cities?

It's sort of like saying I'd be nearly the most handsome man in the room if you remove most of the other men.

According to a statistician writing in The Washington Post, about 20% of total gun deaths are the result of gang-related shootings. That translates into about about 60% (6,600) of all gun homicides.

The gun crime rates of western countries like Canada and Australia would probably remain unaffected by such a modification, since their cities tend to have comparable levels of violence to the rest of the country. Not so with the USA. Our cities experience massively disproportionate rates of violent crime to the rest of the country. Of course, the political policies enacted by Democrats in those cities are not to blame. It has to be something else.

He doesn't say gun deaths. He says gun 20% of homicides. That translates into 20%.

I've addressed it when it was put to me as a rational question by Ethereal.

I'm sure you can figure out the flaw in your question and how it was corrected by Ethereal.
